In Korea, are most English teachers the only teacher in the class or are they paired with a Korean speaking teacher?

Hi Colette,

For the most part, teachers are on their own. This may seem daunting, but teachers are trained during the training period once they arrive at the school, so they are fully knowledgeable as to what they need to accomplish in the classroom. The students are also at a level of English where they will understand you and the lessons, so there really isn't a need for a Korean teacher. This method of teaching also furthers the English abilities of the students as they do not rely on their Korean.
