It was without a doubt the best experience of my life. I had the chance to meet amazing people from every part of the world. I got the chance to work with the most sweet kids. I had the opportunity to travel, to learn about the culture. I always felt safe with the staff, they are amazing. It tought me so much about the world, it opened my eyes. I will never forgot this experience and it wouldn't have been the same without ucesco and without all the people involved. This was my first time volunteering abroad and it was truly amazing! If you are looking for a hands-on volunteer with a local organization this is it. I did a two week volunteer but I wish it was longer. UCESCO is a local organization and therefore you will get to interact with the community on a daily basis and help directly with their needs. Everything is very transparent and everyone from the organization is always there to support you whenever you need it. They will make sure you feel safe and at home at all times. At the accommodation you will be given a spacious apartment, have the opportunity to hang out with all of the other volunteers. You will also get to meet wonderful people such as Mercy who takes care of all the volunteers at the accommodation. My only recommendation if you want to do this volunteer is to be open to work on whatever is needed. Sometimes you might sign up for a program but when you get to Nairobi the organization has some more urgent needs. Hence, if you want to contribute to the best of your abilities I would recommend being open to work on whatever project is ongoing. I would also recommend taking donations from back home (clothes you don't use, toys, books, notebooks, sports equipment, electronics, etc) because anything you can give them helps.

Beyond the educational and enjoyable aspects, I was deeply moved by how this program actively helped communities through its various initiatives and projects. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to embark on this journey, and I carry its lessons and memories with me as I continue to navigate the path of life.my time with UCESCO Africa was a rewarding and enriching journey. The organization's ethos, holistic approach, and unwavering commitment to empowering communities have inspired me to continue advocating for positive change.

An essential program which has enabled me to explore the vulnerable communities more so the Slums where majority of people are underprivileged. UCESCO organization have been able to touched the lives of over 200,000 slum dwellers by offering free medical camps every year in different slums in Kenya where people cannot afford $1 per day. As a volunteer the organization has granted me a chance to disseminate my soft and hard skills to ensure the realization of UCESCO's mission. In line with SDGs, i have been abled to volunteer with UCESCO in Maralal, Samburu County a semi-arid part of the country to help solve SDG1 and SDG4 (No poverty and Quality education) respectively. By organizing workshops, trainings and community cleanups i have also added some skills which have enhanced my flexibility in volunteering world. All i can say is that volunteering with UCESCO organization has enabled me to view the world in different perspective.

I've been volunteering in Nairobi with UCESCO Africa for two months. From my experience, it was one of the best decisions I could have ever taken. Working with community service in a clinic in Kibera, I really felt like I was making an impact with UCESCO. While I was staying with UCESCO, I got to know a lot of new people, I experienced the wonderful culture and went on many adventures while feeling safe the whole time. While working with the organization, I saw how much passion and enthusiasm the staff is putting in to help people in need. I learned a lot from this journey and I will take home memories that will last for a lifetime.

I volunteered with UCESCO Africa for almost 2 months and it was a very special and awesome experience! I helped out in community service in Kibera and witnessed the impact that UCESCO Africa makes in their community every day. Being a part of this felt very special. During my time with UCESCO, I was able to meet a lot of amazing people, as well as get to know the Kenyan culture better. I can definitely recommend choosing UCESCO Africa: they have a variety of programs, great people to work with and always made sure I was safe!

I've had the privilege of being closely associated with UCESCO Africa, and I must say, their NGO management is truly exemplary. Getting to know ways of showing love and care to the community in the informal sectors like slums. UCESCO-Africa is doing commendable work in improving the lives of the slum community.

Volunteering with UCESCO-Africa has taught me valuable skills for personal and growth opportunities like teamwork and leadership skills. The dedicated team of volunteers and staff at UCESCO-Africa have shown genuine passion for making a positive impact. The flexibility of UCESCO-Africa has made it easy for every individual from various backgrounds to get involved. Students, professionals, and even retirees have been given a chance to contribute in various ways to touch lives in the slums. Volunteering at UCESCO-Africa has been an eye-opener to support individuals who are in need of support. It has been a fulfilling learning experience.

A wonderful program with lots of opportunities to improve the life of kids and communities in Kenya. Hard working and kind staff who are always open to suggestions and feedback. Definitely coming back asap to continue working on some of these projects closest to me. The country and the people are simply wonderful. Thanks UCESCO for giving me this opportunity and thanks to all the amazing volunteers I've met and become friends with. Many of my future holidays will consist of visiting Kenya and UCESCO.
