My time spent in the Radiology department was the best experience in my life. I have never imagined how interesting the field is until I took part in the Czech Hospital Placements Program. The mentors I shadowed were eager to tell us as much as they know about MRI, CT, describe the scans results and tell us what is going to be next step in the treatment. Now I truly understand why is Radiology so important for Diagnostics. It gave me such a good insight into anatomy as well. I want to say thank you to all people who were “looking after me” during the placement, as I gain the strongest motivation for my studies as you can imagine.

Thoroughly recommend Czech Hospital Placements for your shadowing experience! I travelled to Prague with the company in July 2016 and I plan to go again next summer! My mentors Alzbeta and Ondrej gave me such a good insight into pulmonology while teaching me how to conduct the talk with the patient over difficult treatment and how to speak with his or her family. I really appreciated the study materials regarding pulmonology to be ready for the placement and to read about the types of treatment and examination methods. When it comes to free time, I can recommend you to go to DOX, the museum of contemporary Art! Ask the staff, they will give you their advice on what´s happening in the town, but Prague gets never boring anyway! :)

"My parents were really worried when I told them I would like to study with Czech Hospital Placements as we have never been to Europe or Czechia before. But Barbora, the program manager was very friendly and happy to explain everything in detail months before my trip started. Honestly, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had! I spent hours shadowing an ICU nurse Sandra, who works at the Urology ICU. I am sure I have now A LOT to talk about with interviewers. I have observed so many patient´s cases, while Sandra told me everything about their treatment and I could see her working with them everyday! I was really happy to be the only student with her as she had enough time to discuss with me all I wanted including my doubts about this career. I have truly learned information far beyond the classroom setting can offer. The hospital is so big and modern. Love nursing!
When it comes to free time, Prague castle is a MUST! You can basically see all Prague under you from the top. Close to the house there was a good Mexican restaurant and a beautiful café with a gallery. The perfect thing is that you are in the hospital within few minutes from the accommodation. So no wasted time. I really recommend this program for everyone who wants to become a nurse.
