I have really enjoyed learning Chinese at Silk Mandarin. I think I have made much more progress in less time. The teacher, Hanna, answers our questions and always goes at our pace. I have learned more about the logic of the language, which has made it easier for me to advance. Slow motion technique is very useful, help me a lot to say sentences in the correct way. Attending Silk Mandarin in Shanghai has been a transformative experience for my Chinese language learning journey. Prior to enrolling, I relied on various Chinese learning apps, which were helpful but couldn't compare to the immersive and interactive environment provided by live teachers at Silk Mandarin. The instructors are incredibly attentive, meticulously listening to and correcting my pronunciation, which has significantly improved my speaking skills.

The workload is manageable, but to truly benefit from the program, I found that investing 30 to 60 minutes per day for practice is essential. This daily commitment has allowed me to fully immerse myself in the language and make steady progress.

Completing the HSK1 course at Silk Mandarin was a pivotal moment for me. Without the structured guidance and support from the school, I wouldn't have reached my current proficiency level. The curriculum is well-designed, and the teachers are both knowledgeable and encouraging, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable.

I highly recommend Silk Mandarin to anyone serious about learning Chinese. The combination of expert instruction, a supportive learning environment, and the necessary daily practice has made all the difference in my language acquisition.

My family has spent a month in Shanghai participating in various Mandarin language programs at Silk Mandarin, including tutoring, group lessons, and summer camp for kids. We chose Silk Mandarin because the programs were immersive and comprehensive, and the staff was attentive and eager to help find ways to reach all of our unique language learning goals. We all had different goals and interests, and they were eager to find ways to tailor our experience to our individual needs.

We found the staff, especially Amy, to be very friendly, warm, and willing to go above and beyond to assist us in the classroom and even help sort out logistical outside of the classroom. We had constant and thorough communication prior to coming to Shanghai and so we were known and welcomed by name on arrival, and the staff has all been just as kind and knowledgeable as day one.

Personally, I had some Mandarin background, but it was many, MANY years ago and very out of practice. I felt particularly difficult to place skill level-wise, but my teacher, Jane, has done an incredible job helping review familiar but foggy subjects and patiently covering grammar rules I never properly learned. I feel I have learned more practical and useful Mandarin skills during my few weeks at Silk Mandarin than I collected in several months of private tutoring years ago. Thank you so much for renewing my interest, motivation, and confidence in learning a language I thought I had lost long ago!

I feel very grateful with silk mandarin and the whole team of teachers for all the support they give to us. It was a very good experience. And we learn a lot. We learn how to communicate with Chinese people and to understand the different Chinese characters.

They have a good team work that helps every time. They have good teachers that helped everyone and teach them well.

So, I recommend a lot this academy if you want to learn Chinese. You will have a good experience and you will learn a lot.

Before Knowing SilkMandarin School, I had difficulties structuring sentences and being able to have that thought of this language. However, thanks to SilkMandarin I managed to not only learn the grammar and structures of the language but also the native way of saying it.

At the same time, I liked the SilkMandarin experience and I chose this academy because of the recommendations and the good prestige it has. Without a doubt they honor all this. Personally, SilkMandarin is special. When you enter into the academy, you feel like family, their team is professional, friendly, cooperative and that is what makes it special since they teach techniques that are easy to understand, analyze and perform. And the most important think is that they prepare you to be more confident to start speaking the language. Even the first class you can start practicing it !!

I really enjoyed studying with Silk! They really helped me whenever I had issues and were really flexible and understanding with my needs, helping me to find the most suitable time to have the classes as have many daily activities.The platform is very usefull it can help you to study for the preview and review classes, so it will be easier to understand the lessons before starting the online classes with the teacther. I really recommend their classes and their online platform, which was super easy to use and navigate!

Silk Mandarin has been incredibly helpful in my Mandarin journey. I've been living in China for five years, with only basic Mandarin to show for it.

Since starting HSK1 classes with Qiying, I now know more Mandarin than the past four years combined.

Silk Mandarin's blended courseware is incredibly helpful. The combination of pre-study materials, lesson review materials and videos really drill the lesson content into your memory.

Qiying is a very encouraging teacher. She will teach at the pace that works best for you. She will also take the time to break down the content that is most difficult for you in a digestible way.

I won't be available to take lessons over the summer, but I'm excited to move forward with HSK2 lessons in the autumn.

Silk mandarin is an excellent way to learn Chinese. Christina was a fantastic teacher - very clear and inspiring.

I would definitely recommend this to friends who are thinking about learning Chinese. It’s not an easy language to master, but silk does a nice job of making the content relatable while also ensuring that students learn the language fundamentals.

I enjoyed the 1:1 attention of each lesson - Christina was willing to tailor each lesson to my needs, and picked topics which were really interesting. Highly recommend

This is my first semester with Silk Mandarin, it has helped navigating my communication better. Giving the great structure of grammar and also oral skills.

The slow motion technique introduction was really useful skills to know. Because sometimes chinese language could get so confusing on how you use the grammar properly.
The course also has extending my vocabularies, that was very useful for living in Beijing.

I wish I could continue my studies to the next step with them, I am looking forward to it!

I've taken several online courses and I've absolutely love Silk Mandarin school. The Slow Motion technique they teach and the videos are all extremely helpful and the teacher was both engaging and encouraging. The small group class was perfect and provided a really good mix of grammar, vocabulary, and conversation.

My HSK2 teacher was easily accessible via the class chat, WhatsApp, and even WeChat and would answer questions really quickly even though we were in different time zones.
