It is well-tailored and comprehensive course. Teachers are well-versed in their jobs and they are always patient. The atmosphere is great and there is a lot of laughing during learning process. Sadly, students cannot access PPT presentations, but the school provides other materials. All sources provided are high-quality too. I quite recommend it to those who want to tailor their lessons to their specific needs.

The school expands and it currently offers their courses outside of Shanghai too. They have their branch in Suzhou and this is where I embarked on this course. The teachers are every bit as qualified as those at Shanghai and they often the same as they travel from one city to the next.

After 6 years spent in China, trying to learn by myself and failing ... I started the HSK classes with silk Mandarin, in intensive for HSK2 and semi intensive for HSK 3. Learned a lot in short time and got deeper insight in chinese characters, which also helps in daily life being at restaurant, metro or various useful app in Chinese.
Always had a great atmosphere in class with small motivated group, emulating each other’s, helped by knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers.

I started to learn Chinese 2,5 years ago. First I had simple online classes, which failed totally - it just wasn’t my style of learning. For me the best way to learn is the face to face classes with a teacher privately. This is also what Silk Mandarin can offer and I like very much! Flexibility and independent learning in my own way, own rhythm, own speed as it is the best for me. My teacher is Christina, in Suzhou. She has a good feeling on how to explain the things and when to practice more certain grammar points and when we can move on to the next point. I pretty like learning with her and her teaching style! Great to be in good hands and see the result of our efforts in using Chinese in daily life. Things are getting pretty much easier!!

I have been studying Chinese for 1 year. Although I live in China, it is not easy to have a self-motivation to study Chinese as a foreigner especially in the international city, Shanghai. Nevertheless, Silk Mandarin makes me study the new language and culture. With Silk Mandarin, I could learn how to speak, read and write Chinese in such a short time. When I tried to take the HSK exam, my teacher, Gemini, helped me a lot. She gave me a lot of advice on the exam. Thanks to my teacher and Silk Mandarin, I could improve my Chinese quickly and understand more about China. I would recommend Silk Mandarin someone if they are interested in learning a new language.

My experience at Silk Mandarin has been nothing short of excellent thus far. The small class sizes make for a much more intimate learning environment where you are free to practise your speech and ask questions. Our teacher not only has extensive knowledge of Mandarin, but of English as well. He is able to anticipate where we will have misconceptions in our learning and helps teach and guide us towards understanding. One thing that has really impressed me in our classes is that we’re not only learning the language, but we’re also learning about Chinese history and culture as well. The classes at Silk Mandarin are engaging, fun and provide a wonderful insight into the Chinese Language. It's been great experience to understand how the Chinese language is structured and the stories behind the characters.Our teacher provides clear explanations in an enthusiastic manner to the time fly by. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning Mandarin with SILK Mandarin. The lessons have been well resourced, stimulating and enjoyable. I can not recommend the classes at SILK Mandarin highly enough. From our very first lesson, our teacher provided us with an active and challenging classroom environment. The lessons are very well prepared, engaging and fun. Apart from learning the pronunciations and grammar, I was amazed at how quickly we were able to understand the sentence structures and stories behind the Chinese characters. I was coming into the process with three central goals in mind: 1. to have a refresher on the basic fundamentals of the language and grammar, 2. to have a tangible result at the end of my learning in the form of passing my HSK exams and 3. to develop an ability to read and write characters. From the very first trial class I was engaged and inspired by the highly interactive and less scholastic approach of Silk Mandarin, but also how each class and stage is highly focused around building upon as well as perfecting the basics of the language. Through this process, I have also reignited my passion and curiosity for Chinese culture, which has inspired me personally to immerse myself in other areas beyond the HSK syllabus. I would thoroughly recommend Silk Mandarin to anyone looking to press reset on their Mandarin language skills, and learn from some of the best teachers in China.

Since the outbreak of the covid 19, I have taken online classes. Personally, I think there are more benefits than face to face classes. First, it is more flexible to adjust the class schedule. Also, the platform is quite a user friendly that the student improves their Chinese skills by writing Chinese characters themselves and sharing the screen with teachers. Even communication with the teacher is good because of a good internet connection. I am really satisfied with the online class. I would definitely recommend the online class to my friends.
