I had the incredible opportunity to work as a language assistant with RVF International in Lliria, Valencia, for the 2022-2023 school year. It was a year of discovery, both professionally and personally. From learning Spanish to immersing myself in Spanish culture and building meaningful connections within the community of Lliria, every day offered new experiences and challenges.

Moving abroad can be incredibly stressful, and I was fortunate to have RVF International's support throughout the process. Their assistance with visa paperwork and in-country logistics made the transition much more straightforward. While Spanish bureaucracy can sometimes be frustrating, RVF was there to help me navigate the system, set up appointments, and offer guidance whenever needed.

After my first year, I renewed my contract through NALCAP for the 2023-2024 school year. Unfortunately, the support was much less, and I struggled with visa issues and appointment scheduling. This made returning to Spain much more complicated and stressful.

However, I’m excited to announce that I’ll join RVF International again for the 2025-2026 school year. I can’t recommend this program enough for anyone looking for a supportive, well-organized experience abroad. RVF helps you every step of the way, ensuring that both the professional and personal aspects of your time abroad are as rewarding as possible.

As someone who has dreamed of living abroad for years and struggled to make it happen, coming across RVF was like the golden ticket to a guaranteed year in Spain. My life became very difficult in the US and I knew that if I could get to Spain, everything would start to change. That is exactly what has happened. Since getting on the plane, every aspect of my life has improved. Job opportunities pop up left and right. I spend every day with the love of my life (who I met here in Málaga last year). I brought my precious puppy with me and he loves sniffing around all the new smells of Spain. The school I was placed in is a dream with views of the ocean and the sweetest kids I could have imagined. My apartment is almost beach-front where I get to sunbathe on the terrace and listen to the waves. A few months ago, I was rotting in a dark room… Now I just casually went to Morocco and rode a camel… Thank you, RVF :’)

Since COVID, I have served as an Academy Director for a law firm in Atlanta providing Continuing Education to REALTORS. This inspired me to teach English as a Foreign Language, so I received my TEFL certification and began tutoring as a side career. This re-kindled my passion to live in Europe again (I had lived in Dublin, Ireland and in St. Petersburg, Russia in the 90s), so I began to investigate ways I could return. Thankfully, my TEFL institution knew about RVF. Harrison, Sandra, Peter and the entire RVF Team have been phenomenal. Spain is a premier market for teaching English in Europe, and RVF will guide you through the entire process. They are experts and total professionals. Thank you so much, RVF.

I went through RVF for my teach abroad program. The staff have been very helpful for me and have answered all my questions with understanding and a lot of detail. They helped make the whole process of moving to another country very easy and were there for me every step of the way. They responded quickly and were always available for a zoom chat to answer any questions I had. The materials and documents they provided were also very helpful. Before joining with RVF I had applied to many auxiliar programs. Out of all of the ones I joined RVF I will say is the best pick, especially if you are a first time applicant and have never been out of the country before to Spain. First, I love their service! Anytime I had any doubts or questions it was always responded to on time and even if you have other questions that may pertain to just life in Spain they are more than happy to help and provide you with necessary resources. Secondly, all the paperwork that you have to do they help you every step of the way! RVF gives a breakdown of exactly what is needed before and during your stay in Spain which other programs don't usually do. Please, if you are looking for a new journey or change and have an almost seamless experience please contact RVF!

I really appreciated RVF as a program and all they have to offer people like me who have never attempted to travel abroad without assistance before. I believe that RVF made the transition to moving abroad for a year much more smooth and tranquil than if I would have had to do it on my own. All of the processes you have to deal with arriving to a new country were mostly handled by RVF, which took a lot of stress off of me. Once arriving in Spain, I was able to build community with other auxes in Spain and didn't feel like I needed them as much, however, if I ever did have any questions, they always responded in a timely manner with a thorough explanation of anything I needed.

When I first had the idea to go to Spain and I was doing a research, I found RVF international to be completely honest at the beginning, It all seemed so easy that it seemed a little bit too good to be true. However, the support that RVF gives us is absolutely insane from getting all of her paperwork ready for your visa appointment, and getting your paperwork ready once you’re already in Spain. They are constantly helping you out throughout the whole process and even now that I’ve been in Spain for two months and questions arise they are always available.

I could not express how incredible and awesome this program is! Moving internationally is already a huge step. However, with RVF, it was much easier! They help every step of the way by providing all documents and instructions. They even book all of your appointments!! They took a load of stress off my shoulders, and it provided me with more time to start planning my trip!! I LOVE teaching at my school as everyone is so helpful and kind! I am teaching students as well as learning from students which is something I believe teaching is all about! After being here for only a short time, I can already feel that I am making a difference with the students. It is so easy to travel and I have loved all of RVF’s recommended places! It’s so comforting to know they’ve been in the same position as me so they can suggest better options for almost everything!

After graduating college, I was struggling to make my dream of living abroad come true. I began looking into programs and that is when I found RVF International. Immediately upon contacting RVF, I began receiving guidance and endless support for moving abroad. I signed up for the program in November 2023 and I am now currently living in Spain! The visa process is a lot of work but I found RVF immensely helpful. RVF took off so much of the stress that comes with moving abroad. I highly recommend this program!

RVF has been incredibly helpful with my transition to Spain. They are always responsive and have many really helpful documents and webinars to help you successfully get your visa and handle other important things needed when coming to Spain. They have helped make my experience stress free and I can't imagine doing all this on my own. They offer to do zoom calls with you whenever you have questions which has also been really helpful. I highly recommend using RVF, it will make your experience much more enjoyable all around.
