Empowering Communication

Buckle up for my whirlwind adventure in the universe of TESOL! Teaching English isn't just ABCs; it's an odyssey of unveiling new cultures and forging unbreakable bonds. Imagine vibrant classrooms where learning is an exhilarating journey, complete with laughter and high-fives. And thanks to the digital age, my teaching screen morphs into a window spanning continents, making distance seem like a mere illusion.

But the true magic of TESOL lies in the stories each student brings. Picture a mosaic of accents, dreams, and backgrounds, converging in a symphony of understanding. In a world thirsting for connection, TESOL isn't just a subject; it's a bridge between hearts and minds, stitching together our global tapestry.

As I continue, I'm not just an educator; I'm a global collaborator, learning from my students as they learn from me. TESOL isn't confined to textbooks; it's a shared journey of empowerment and unity, shaping a world where communication knows no borders. So here's to TESOL – where teaching is learning, and the classroom is a window to a brighter, more connected future.

Future TESOL participants seek insights into career prospects, qualifications, teaching methods, assessment techniques, cultural sensitivity, technology integration, and professional growth. They inquire about managing diverse classrooms, navigating global trends, and understanding the challenges and rewards that come with teaching English to diverse learners for lifelong impact.

Pros
  • Global impact
  • Diverse career paths
  • Personal fulfillment

Awesome course! Highly recommend

I really enjoyed this course. Even as a teacher already with plenty of experience, I still gained a lot of knowledge and ideas from taking this course. The price point is also very affordable and competitive. Course content is well structured and concise. The quizzes at the end of each module are good to test your knowledge but if you read or at least skimmed the content, they shouldn't be a problem. The website and portal are also very straight forward and easy to navigate.

Overall I'd highly recommend it.

TESOL/TEFL Online Course

It was an amazing experience. I was able to re-learn the basics of the English Language and had new learning techniques on how to teach it to non-native speakers. The platform used was easy to navigate. I found the summary of lessons in every module helpful especially in preparing for the quizzes and the final exam. Everything was in place and was done smoothly from my enrollment of the course to the Final exam and the acquisition of the Digital Certificate. I am looking forward to my printed copy. Will definitely recommend these to friends who wish to teach English online and overseas. I find everything helpful for me to be ready for me to be a better teacher online and overseas. Thank you very much World Tesol Academy!

TEFL experience with World Tesol Academy

I was nervous at the beginning of the course; however, their content was clear and easy to follow. The introduction gave me an idea of what to expect as an ESL teacher. I learned about the various locations abroad where I can teach, the wages, types of learners etc. Each module has a great animated introduction video which shows you what will be covered in that module. The lessons provide tips on how to teach and introduce a specific topic to your students and provide plenty of examples. In some lessons, they further provide a link to get a hold of additional resources for both you and your students. World Tesol Academy teachers are readily available to assist when you get stuck or when you need clarity. I really enjoyed learning through them!

Pros
  • Very interactive. They respond rapidly when you need assistance.
What other participants should know
  • Most examples are in written form. No examples in video format/diagrams

What other participants should know
  • This program was a significant investment of my time, which becomes challenging for me as I already balance work, personal life, and other responsibilities.
  • I find that online courses sometimes lack in-person interaction and networking opportunities. These courses are typically conducted remotely, and as a result, there might be limited chances for face-to-face interactions
  • One downside I've noticed in an online English teaching course is the absence of real-time physical presence. In this online environment, both instructors and I miss out on the immediate physical cues and nonverbal communication

Learning Experience Through World TESOL Platform

I took a 120-hour TESOL training course (online) in August 2023. Gratefully, I finished the course in 2 weeks. I was firstly interested when I got an email from World TESOL team about a 20-hour online teaching practicum. Hopefully, after my completion, I will be able to enrol in the program. Moreover, I'm eager to apply both my knowledge and my teaching skills in real-life situations. In conclusion, the 120-hour TESOL training course is useful to broaden the basic knowledge in teaching English to speakers of other language.

Pros
  • Direct review of each lesson module
  • The language is easy to understand
  • Some suggested links (sources) are attached
What other participants should know
  • No video lesson
  • No peers work checking
  • It's better if learners can upload their voice/video/document through platform to answer the review questions
