I had a great time connecting with people from all over the United States. This was also a great opportunity for someone who had never been out of the country. I had ha great time and I experienced tremendous growth. Although the hiking was not my favorite due to my past experiences, I had a better time hiking and I grew to love nature and my surroundings. I believe I overcame quite a lot and the staff was amazing with all the changes. They still managed to get everything done and be supportive to me.

This trip was one of the best experiences I have ever been on, from meeting people like me around the world to learning about different cultures. I had never gone on a trip similar to this one and everything about it was amazing. From the start of the trip, I felt comfortable and was able to connect with the other campers, making friendships on the first day. The icebreakers that were set up were not awkward and I was able to enjoy every moment of the trip as soon as I landed. This trip also made me feel much more comfortable in an area that I have never been to before.

The Bold Alps trip was both mentally and physically tough. It was and amazing experience and I speak for everyone when I say the feeling of accomplishment we had when it was over was like no other feeling. I laughed the hardest I’ve ever laughed on this trip and made amazing life long memories with people who I only got to spend 2 short weeks with. I’d recommend this trip to an and every teen who is looking for a summer experience that they will never forget. I’m still in contact with the friends I made and hope to be for a very long time.

I am a student that has been on two Bold Earth trips so far, and I can't recommend them enough. I just got back from two weeks hiking in the Alps, and I am still in awe. I am an aspiring photographer, so there was no shortage of material, but I think what made the trip special was the people. The trip leaders were knowledgeable and super fun, and all the other students were just as excited as I was. Together we hiked through stunning landscapes while eating the best fresh baguettes and cheese you have ever had! The trip also felt really safe, so for anyone on the fence about going overseas with a bunch of strangers: GO FOR IT. I have been nervous before both of my trips, and I don't regret a minuet of either of them. They really were some of the best weeks of my life!

No matter how you are involved with Bold Earth (student, parent, trip leader, office team) you will get to understand how special this company truly is. From incredible opportunities for growth and leadership, to gorgeous natural settings, to stories around the campfire or playing hilarious games under the stars, you will feel the MAGIC of this incredible community. It is something that is so hard to explain until you are a part of it, however I know it started from the first time I called the office staff. Bold Earth’s intentionality for life-changing experiences is palpable and I can say with clarity that my first summer with Bold Earth truly changed my life for the better. I couldn’t stop talking about it after the summer and I still love getting to share my experience with others all these months later. I can remember the memories like they were yesterday. I LOVE looking back at pictures of our California adventure. Our whole group was so close and felt like we had known each other much longer than 2 weeks. The Bold Earth staff does such an incredible job planning exceptional trips with activities like white water rafting, rock climbing, surfing, hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, and more–there is really something for everyone. In the recent world that has been filled with so much uncertainty, Bold Earth has created such certainty in my life. The certainty of forming life-long relationships, of opening your mind to new ideas and experiences, connecting with nature, smiling non stop, and believing in yourself in a whole new way. Being involved with Bold Earth has been the best reminder that with intentionality and detailed planning my outdoor adventure goals of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and thru hiking the Camino de Santiago and trekking to Machu Picchu are absolutely within reach! I tell everyone I know about Bold Earth!!

The leadership team is personable and communicative with families; you can tell support and family are important values to the organization. They are easy to talk to on the phone and are always happy to answer questions leading up to and during the summer.

Itineraries - unbelievably fun. Full of diverse activities all over the world. I mountain biked, scuba dived, surfed, and overnight rafted for the first time on a Bold Earth trip, and the experiences I had on these programs helped make me into the outdoor adventurer I am today.

This company cares not just about the bottom line, but about every trip leader, student, parent, outfitter, and community where they operate. Highly recommend!

My daughter Samantha did the Bold Earth Hawaii trip this past summer. She was so nervous leaving, and came back a different kid! She still keeps in touch with her friends and LOVED her leaders. The trip was more than just fun, it was growth-oriented. Most importantly, I really appreciated the organization's attention to safety. From my first call with the office, they made me feel safe with their professionalism and attention to my daughter. They were kind and patient, and the leaders were very professional (not young college kids). We'll be back!

My son had an incredible, and most importantly SAFE experience with Bold Earth this past summer. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism of the organization and the leaders, especially how they approached safety and risk management on the trip. They didn't just enforce strict safety rules, they taught my son how to help manage risk. He really connected with the counselors, and made some graet friends. It was more than just a teen tour, I loved the intentionality and the focus on growth. Highly recommend Bold Earth! Thanks for a great experience.

I’ve been on THREE Bold Earth Trips and all of them have been uniquely amazing. The first one I went on was the first trip I’d gone on without my family so I was a little nervous, but it turned out to be so fun and exciting that I decided to go again the next year. I got to connect with teens from all around the country. On my second trip, I got to connect with teens from around the globe! I still keep in contact with friends from France and Vietnam which is incredible to me. The no phone policy was a little bit tough on my Mom the first time, but I thought it was a great policy because it allowed everyone to connect and anyways, we barely had time to be on our phones as new adventures constantly awaited: white water rafting, white water kayaking, rock climbing, hiking up fourteeners, spotting all sorts of wildlife (I hadn’t even heard of a pika before going on a trip into the Rockies) and so much more! Honestly I can’t say enough about how great the trips all were. From learning how to go on belay (rock climbing) to planning out and cooking a good meal for everyone to share around a campfire, the experiences have left an unforgettable impact on my life and allowed me to find the adventurer in me.

The trip I went on with Bold Earth was a three week long camping trip around the western United States. It was awesome! Bold Earth’s no phone policy allowed all twelve of us and two leaders to become very close during that time without the distractions of the internet. It was a great way to spend time in the outdoors and create memories of a lifetime. I recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for an adventure and wants to unplug from their regular routines. thank you Bold Earth for a great summer!
