MISLEADING AND LYING

Very misleading, stating that the 420 hour diploma is a Foundation Degree, when in fact it is worth nothing more than the paper it is printed on.
It has no worth a degree, dont waste your money on their misleading and lying adverts!
I paid a lot of money to do the course, worked hard to complete it all, only have one assignment left, and I find out it is NOT a foundational degree, it is actually worth NOTHING!
Very disspointed in I-to-I, their reply was it is a mistake on the advertising side. (Wondering if that is yet another lie to add to it all!)

Pros
  • Nothing
Cons
  • Spend a lot of hours and money and time to get NOTHING!
  • Lying and misleading on the advertisements
Response from i-to-i TEFL

We're very sorry that you took the course under the impression that the 420-hr course was a Foundation Degree. Our description specifies that this is a Foundation Degree-level qualification, as both our 420-hr TEFL course and a Foundation Degree are classified as Level 5 on Ofqual's Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
This will not affect your ability to get TEFL roles, if this was your aim in completing the course, as the 420hr Advanced Diploma is in high demand with TEFL employers.

TEFL Internship: South Korea

The entire process from securing placement, through to booking flights and coordinating quarantines and other administrative issues has been seamlessly handled by a very competent and caring team.

The program is everything advertised and far more; the accommodation is fantastic, the staff are very welcoming and supportive this side and there is ample space given to one, to settle in and find their own bearing.

Overall a fantastic program that should be experienced at least just once by everyone

Pros
  • Housing
  • Transport
  • Administrative support
Cons
  • Language barrier
  • Cultural differences

I-to-I

I-to-I is a wonderful institution to get your tefl diploma, not only are their staff helpful, considerate, thoughtful and bubbly, but their content is good amazing.
They have a variety of courses to choose from as well as the different levels which you'd like to do them at.
The content and their portal is very user friendly and they're always ready to help every step of the way.
Their markers are precise and skilled. And their feedback to assignments is extremely helpful and rewarding.
I-to-I pride themselves in providing nothing but the best.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would not waste an extra minute over considering whether I should do the course I would just do it!

An engaging course for us EFL instructors

I had chosen this program after a careful research and it didn't disappoint. I'm an experienced general and business English tutor, and though about 90% of the program wasn't new to me, the rest of it including video observations of teachers at work and the practice in writing extended lesson plans was engaging and professionally beneficial. For those who consider EFL as a career and don't know where to start I can recommend this program as the one that can provide a very solid base. Take your time to complete it though, as it is a demanding program.

What would you improve about this program?
I would like to see more teacher observation videos included, they are helpful and insightful.

Level 5 300 Hour Online TEFL Diploma

I was expecting the course to be heavy on teaching grammar from the beginning but was very happy to find this was a module later on, and it didn't feel other whelming.
The course was very well structured and each module flowed nicely from one to another.
The quizzes at the end of module, and some quick ones mid module, helped me retain the information better than reading and note taking. The assignments were tough but there was support for any questions I had and they were very quick at responding.
I feel very prepared to teach a class !

I-to-I TEFL Level 5 Diploma

From the very start, this course was engaging and interesting. Not only jumping straight into Language teaching, but also the history of how it came about, and the progression that it has made through time. Thoroughly enjoyed the units, which were well explained, and the quizes that kept you honest. The assessments were relevant, and collated all of the information that you learnt throughout the unit.
All this said, there is nothing to fear at all. Everything is well explained, and there are no "catch you outs".
Would highly recommend for any age.

What was your funniest moment?
On one of the assignments i really couldn't pin down a topic. I spent days thinking about it, and coming up with nothing. One day i went out in the car, and listened to the radio. A song came on that i had not heard for years, it provoked so many memories and unlocked something in my brain, that when i arrived home i set out the outline for my assignment in one go!!

Terrible program

Teachers and support were insulting and did not respond to many attempts at communicating with them.
They constantly offer excuses and lie at every turn to try and pull more money from you.
I bought a $20 book off Amazon with more information on teaching than the entire I-to-I "course".
This course is entirely a waste of time, money and effort.

Response from i-to-i TEFL

Hi Keegan,

I’m really sorry to hear you’ve had such a bad experience with us. I’ve looked into your account details and can see that you are only part way through your course. We’re here to help you get through the course and have offered our services multiple times to help you pass your first assignment and explain the tutor feedback to you. We are still here to help and will do our very best to help you complete your course, if you are open to us assisting you.

We do, however, respond to all communications we receive and I’m confident that none of my team would insult or lie to you. If you are unhappy with the service received from any of my team then I urge you to contact me directly on jo.bearcroft@i-to-i.com and I will look into the issues you have had. If we have failed in our service to you then we’ll give you a full refund.

Best wishes,

Jo Bearcroft

Vietnam Internship

I would highly recommend the Vietnam internship to anyone who wants to experience a different culture while doing a really rewarding job. The teaching aspect is amazing, the children are so friendly and you find yourself developing your skills quickly. Before doing the internship I had no teaching experience but you soon get the hang of how the system works in the public school setting. Doing the internship was great because you meet loads of like minded people and all live within 5 minutes walk of each other. Although the housing is a bit basic compared to what you're used to at home you soon get used to it and it's a unique opportunity to live in a Vietnamese neighbourhood. You can eat in local establishments for not very much money at all and try foods that you maybe wouldn't come across as a tourist.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't get caught up on the accommodation or organisation being different to what you're used to at home - everything will work out so just throw yourself in. Bring things from home for prizes for the kids, things like reward stickers or sweets from your home country.

Once in a lifetime opportunity!

This experience truly was once in a lifetime!
As a college leaver looking for travel and unique experiences, I came across this internship. I had no previous teaching experience nor was I planning on going into teaching as a career. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process and would definitely now use the qualification I have gained to teach again in other countries.
The initial induction when you arrive informed you of where you would be teaching, with whom and other useful information including Thai phrases, dress codes and useful contacts. I was placed at a school with another intern, where we lived on the school grounds in a traditional Thai home, a 10 minute cycle from the next school where 2 other interns were teaching. Our timetable consisted of teaching all ages at the school, some with assistance from the English teacher there and some without. Planning the lessons and insuring they were interactive was a vital part as the children's focus was easily lost in younger years due to the lack of Thai spoken by us. All the teachers and students were so welcoming and loved every second we were there. On weekends we could travel around so did this in small groups from the internship program, visiting places such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Kanchanaburi and many others. Finally, the last week was spent on an island relaxing with the other interns and was definitely the cherry on top of the whole experience. Would 100% recommend, the children are genuinely a treat to teach and no previous teaching experience was needed!

A easy way to study along side work

I did the 120hrs course along side working full time to enable me to change career paths and try teaching abroad instead.
This course was really well laid out and easy to follow.
Following completion of the course I received my results back in three working day with good notes and feedback... and I passed!
Now I can’t wait to get to Spain in September, just waiting to here back to where I will be placed.

What would you improve about this program?
Let you know younonly have a limited time to complete before you open the course. If I had known I would have opening it a different day.
