The Philotimo Med Shadowing Program was everything I hoped for and more! Watching surgeries, from simple procedures to complex ones, really opened my eyes to the world of medicine. The doctors were amazing, and Stavros was always around to offer guidance. The old buggy tour was a great way to meet people, and the Meteora excursion was out of this world. Larissa is the safest, most charming city. It felt like I was in a small town with a huge heart – and the food was so good. The accommodation felt like a home away from home, and I loved it.

This Philotimo Med program is a must-do if you want to dive deep into the medical world. I got to observe surgeries like tonsillectomies and complex fracture repairs. It was amazing to see it all firsthand. Stavros was super helpful throughout, and the Buggy tour made me feel at ease right away. The excursions were so fun, especially the Meteora trip – beautiful memories. Larissa is such a cozy safe city, full of great restaurants and easy to explore. The accommodation was super comfy and welcoming – I honestly felt at home.

It’s one thing reading about them in books, but watching them in person is another level. The team, especially Stavros, was always available for support. The excursions, especially Meteora, were beyond my expectations. Larissa itself is a hidden gem – it’s super safe and feels like home, with tons of restaurants to try. The accommodation was super comfy and spacious – felt like I was in my own apartment.

If you’re into medicine and want real-world experience, this is the program for you! Watching surgeries like gallbladder removals and spinal operations was incredible. If you’re a high school student thinking about medicine, this program is a MUST. Two weeks in Greece, real hospital shadowing, amazing mentors, and the chance to explore places like Meteora? It doesn’t get better than that. Director Stavros is honestly one of the best educators I’ve ever met—he’s so dedicated and makes sure every student gets the most out of the experience. Also, the accommodations were top-notch, and Larissa is such a beautiful and underrated city. I wish I could do it all over again!

This was my first time doing a medical program like this, and I was blown away. The hospital experience was incredible, but what really made it special was the people. Director Stavros and the whole team made us feel like family. The two weeks flew by way too fast! We also got to visit Meteora, which was beyond breathtaking. The place we stayed at was super comfortable and right next to all the best restaurants. Larissa just has this warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay forever.
