This is how you spend a summer!

These past 6 weeks have been a rollercoaster of experiences. A great internship working with some great people. A bunch of amazing experiences getting to know Bangkok and Thailand, and lot of memories created. I never considered coming to Thailand to do my internship but when I found the Beatbrdg website, I wanted to learn more. Thailand is so different from the US, not just in obvious ways like food and music, but also lifestyle of the people, sports (google muay thai!), and even transport, literally everyone rides a moped. I feel lucky to have experienced a totally new culture, and feel like I have grown in so many ways.

Pros
  • food
  • nightlife and culture
  • people

My thoughts on my internship in Holland

We all know Amsterdam, city of bikes, weed, and red lights, but Amsterdam was so much more than those cliches. Amsterdam is culture, great food, great people, cosy neighborhood vibes, weekend markets, and bikes, and more bikes! I've met some of the best people this summer in this city, and loved being able to get to reignite my passion for music here. I'd love to come back and spend more time again next summer! Thanks to the BEATBRDG team for connecting me with such great people, I really appreciate the opportunity and hard work. A hidden gem of a company.

4 weeks is not enough

I always wanted to do an internship in London, and tried unsuccessfully during covid to get something organized. When BEATBRDG music was recommended to me, I contacted them to try and get a Summer internship locked in. In less than 2 weeks, my label internship was confirmed and soon after I was on my way! Tuition was affordable, and the housing they arranged was fine. I would definitely recommend this experience to others who want to spend a summer in London or want to get music industry experience.

Pros
  • London is incredible.

Step into the music industry!

I had a fantastic experience doing the BEATBRDG immersion week in London, and this experience has helped solidify my aspiration of pursuing a career in the music industry.

Throughout the week, I gained a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of the music industry from the commercial aspect (working in talent management, working at a label), to the creative (music production, and studio engineering), in addition to meeting some great people.

I got to have a direct hands-on experience, and find my passion and place in the industry. This learning experience is unlike any other, is well put together, and a lot of fun.

Pros
  • Well put together itinerary allows you to experience various aspects of the industry
  • Tuition included housing and most other costs

Visit Amsterdam in Style!

I had an absolute blast getting to intern in Amsterdam with BeatBrdg Music Industry Internships. Being based close to the cool Nine Streets neighborhood was surreal, everyday was busy with tourists and people cycling everywhere. I got to visit Paris for a trade show to try out new equipment and met so many great people at the studio. It has been a dream getting to travel to Europe, and spend time learning about European culture. Couldn't be happier with my decision to go abroad and do this internship!!

Pros
  • Coolest city in Europe!
  • Meet great people
  • Excellent internship

Wonderful Summer in London

Really good program. The advisors at the internship company were excellent and took just 3 weeks to get the internship confirmed. I was directly involved in researching and writing lots of copy and articles for the music magazine I worked at, and have been credited on the website a few times since.

I quickly felt at home in London, and enjoyed going out with other interns for fun afternoons and nights out. With no language barrier, London can be a city for most interns to work in easily. It is easy to recommend Beatbrg and my intrership to others.

Pros
  • Historic city
  • Modern and safe housing
  • Not expensive for the quality of internship I got
Cons
  • Rained a lot even during summer
  • Internship started at 9am each day

Bangkok!

I went to Thailand to intern in a music studio in Thonglor for 6 weeks over summer break found with the agency BeatBrdg. Bangkok is a nice city, very liberal, and fun with things to do and see. Visa was easy to get, and apartment cost is low even in good area like Sukhumvit. Music scene is very lively, many bars and clubs, and we work with many artists from local Thai pop, and also K-pop. Studio internship is about 6 hours per day, and we cover training, learning and engineering in the sessions. I worked under the lead engineer, very good guy. I enjoyed this internship.

Pros
  • Very good internship offered to me
  • Many interesting things to do on the weekends

Great week in London

This past week has been an amazing experience. My biggest takeaway from the week has been the people I’ve met. Our first night orientation set the foundation for what turned out to be an amazing group of friends made over the week. The accommodations were located in zone 1 right next to Nothing Hill station, making you only a few stops from central London. You get your own room with a bathroom, and the common area included tv, pool, and gym. In terms of activities, we all followed the same track, and had daily music related activities (studio sessions, label visits) and then a city-sightseeing based activity (cinema-trip, Big Ben, Regent park). Activities were a lot of fun, and we all got to show our experience, ask questions and really learn! Everyone was at different stages of their development which made sessions more fun. While the experience was a little expensive after I included my flight, I would recommend it based off my experience because it would have been impossible for me to try and arrange all of the visits and activities we got to try myself. I will keep in touch with the rest of the group, and we all joined the group Whatsapp group to share our progress now that we are home. I recommend this experience for everyone that loves music.

Pros
  • so much to do
  • great activities like visiting a music studio, and a record label, and seeing live sessions
Cons
  • none, I loved it
