Impact 🌎

As a small but growing organisation, we recognise that policies and actions should reflect the world that we want to be part of, not just today, but also in the future. To make our vision for the future a reality, we embrace a number of sustainability best practices including: Going Paperless, choosing recycled products where appropriate, controlling our energy consumption including the use of electricity in the office, recycling and re-purposing office equipment, and donating surplus equipment to be be reused.
To reduce the ethical impact of our programs, we work with and promote locally-owned businesses and service providers to ensure that local communities benefit from our interns making their cities home for a short period. From locally-owned bars and restaurants that we recommend in our city guides, to local projects and charities where interns can give back more directly, we recognise the importance of offsetting our impact.

This is how you spend a summer!

These past 6 weeks have been a rollercoaster of experiences. A great internship working with some great people. A bunch of amazing experiences getting to know Bangkok and Thailand, and lot of memories created. I never considered coming to Thailand to do my internship but when I found the Beatbrdg website, I wanted to learn more. Thailand is so different from the US, not just in obvious ways like food and music, but also lifestyle of the people, sports (google muay thai!), and even transport, literally everyone rides a moped. I feel lucky to have experienced a totally new culture, and feel like I have grown in so many ways.

I went to Thailand to intern in a music studio in Thonglor for 6 weeks over summer break found with the agency BeatBrdg. Bangkok is a nice city, very liberal, and fun with things to do and see. Visa was easy to get, and apartment cost is low even in good area like Sukhumvit. Music scene is very lively, many bars and clubs, and we work with many artists from local Thai pop, and also K-pop. Studio internship is about 6 hours per day, and we cover training, learning and engineering in the sessions. I worked under the lead engineer, very good guy. I enjoyed this internship.
