At first when I went I didn't know what I said yes to - I just did it. And I don't regret anything! Ithas been such a good experience being a volunteer at VP Bali. You get to know the other volunteers so quickly. In school the kids are so interessted in getting to know you and are very willing to learn! I didn't have any previous experience with teaching but that's not a problem. The program helps you finding work sheets, games and things to do with your class, but at the same time they're very open for new ideas! So just be creative - and I'm sure they'll accept it. Another thing is that you have a close relationship with the local coordinators. By living with a local family you get to know the culture and how it is to live in Bali. They're so open minded and you can ask about everything and they'll do their best to answer you. I'll definitely recommend do it! It's amazing! Go start your adventure.

For me it is just totally normal that every child goes to school and gets the eduaction that it needs. But here I just realised that it is not normally and a lot of kids just sell stuff on the street instad of going to school. I'm glad that I'veen could be a little part of Volunteer Bali who just tries to help as good as possible and to change the situation.

I reallly enjoyed to volunteer in this beautiful location- Ubu is just amaying! And I especially enjoyed staying with the other volunteers in a homestay. So in this way I also got to know to the Balinese everyday life which was really intersting for me to see.

So for me it was just the perfect connection between travelling and also doing something good for the community.

I'm thankful for this experience and just sad that I have to leave.

I had an excellent experience with VP Bali. I was very nervous coming in, as had never been a teach before, never mind an ESL teacher. However, the staff was very helpful in making me feel comfortable and in providing resources. It was helpful having a co-teacher to provide feedback and bounce ideas off of. The accommodations were nice. The host families were so friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed working with the local coordinators to learn about the culture and about how the kids learn. The program definitely benefits the kids and the community as a whole.

Here I am in a country far far away where everything is so different from back home. The students, staff, culture, and people of Bali have embraced me and opened their arms like I was a family member. Everyday, I went to class and the students would run out and leave "love notes" on the board for me. It showed me that I was making a impact on these kids and they will never understand the impact they had me. While the kids taught me about their lives in Bali the staff also immersed us into the Balinese way. The staff was also available for my late messages asking questions about class and the coordinators were the perfect liaison to help me relay task and assignments to the students. We were able to learn Balinese dance, and ceremony culture and attend ceremonies for the schools. It was an all encompassing program that not only taught but showed you the Bali way of life.

During my trip through Southeast Asia I took a couple of weeks to volunteer in Bali with the VP Bali. I had two classes with kids from about 6 to 10 years old. As a English Teacher I can say that there's nothing in life more fulfilling than seeing a kid enjoying a class and actually learning, this is what happens in VP Bali. Kids come to classes to learn in a fun and dinamic way. It is amazing who they appreciate your help and how they get so closed to you in just a couple of days. One of the most beautiful things loved about being with the kids is the way they show respect to their teachers and elders by putting your hand in their forehead, I've never seen anything like this in other countries and I think it is just a sweet gesture. All the staff members and volunteers I got the chance to meet and share this experience with were very nice and helpful all the time. We had great days even outside the school. Volunteering is definitely the most incredible thing I've done so far in my life. If you ever have the chance to volunteer abroad I would totally recommend VP Bali, you will not regret it.

The way the English is taught by VP Bali is amazing. The children benefit so much from the English course structure and curriculum set by VP Bali. The children are so eager to learn and love seeing thier teachers every day. The children's motivation is always high due to the fun, learning environment. I am so thankful that I was able to participate in such a fantastic program and cant wait to see the children again some day soon! I really felt that I was able to make a difference and genuinely contribute to the children's success in the future.

It was my first volunteering experience. The testimonial of a friend who volunteered at VP and the comparaison with others programs gave me the confidence to chose VP Bali. I haven't any regrets for that, it is the best decision that I ever made.

I was really well welcomed by the staff and I met amazing people with who I volunteered but also lived during two months.

About the school and the kids, the staff and my coteacher gave me advices to prepare myself and gave me confidence before my first teaching classes. Anyway it's an easy "job" because the kids are adorables (so different from the western kids) and are always enthusiastic to learn more about the English language. Furthermore, I think the way that we teach English: by games and exercices is really good to keep the kids motivated the k to learn and come to this free extra classes. You quickly create connections with the kids and it very rewarding to see them improve.
I strongly recommend Volunteer Programs Bali for people who are looking for do something good in their life and are looking for an international experience.

I decided to join this volunteering programme when I already started my backpacking. So far it has been the best decision I made during my whole traveling as I experienced my most beautiful time throughout the whole trip during my stay at VPBali. VPBali has been so helpful from the beginning on and so created a wonderful atmosphere. The teaching itself has been absolutely amazing as the kids are so lovely. They are so thankful that you dedicate your time to them and are so willing to learn. For letting the teaching be a lot of fun VPBali offeres a lot of helpful material.

My overall experience was amazing. I first think that the program is really helpful as I could see the improvement with most of the students. The kids are really nice and want to learn a lot. Even the little "trouble makers" are always kind to us and respectful, and they get motivated pretty easily, even if some days are harder than others.
The staff is always present for us and really helpful. I particularly loved the spirit of the program, it's full of good vibe.

VP Bali has given me the opportunity to work in a volunteering program for the first time and I can say it was an amazing experience.
Although I had worked for five years in Africa, this volunteering experience gave me the opportunity to meet different people, with a different culture and different points of view. For all that, I think I am now a person with a new perspective of the world.
I will definitely recommend VP Bali programs.
