The Excellence Center Reviews

I learned a lot during my course, but the different levels were a challange in the beginning. Alaa solved the challange very well by writing the same words in 'soundlanguage' and aracbic. It was very usefull fo understanding and learning for both levels.
The classes were arraged after my wishes about learning the letters as first priority. And it was very helpfull. I could have used a little more homewrk in the first half of the lesssons, but it was not a wish from the other half of the calss.
I appriaciated the different learning 'games'. The calsses were never boring and most often we lost time, and the lessons ended later than planed. But nobody notised because we always had fun learning.
I and very satisfied for my time and for my teacher. I give her the best review.

I am very happy about this experience at the Excellence Center, Miss Racha has always been available to follow our interests and prepare special activities for us. She is really passionated by her job and an excellent teacher.

I learned a lot. I think the most important is the interaction with our teacher which has been very good.
I have been to arabic classes before but this time I think I have improved.
A problem could be the way to form good studygroups with equal level.
Another problem could be that the motivation among the students is shifting.
I think it is very good that my teatcher is listening to my wishes about
learning .
Of course I would like to go more than twice a week but it is difficult to coordinate with my work in TIPH. I hope to continue after Ramadan.

This was my second visit to the Centre and was for only 10 days this time - I wish it was longer. As before, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the students were lovely. I particularly enjoyed running the employability skills workshops as they gave me the opportunity to feel that I was making a really valuable contribution. I also enjoyed helping out with the English classes and interacting with the younger students who were so keen and interested. The city of Hebron is a great place to spend time; colourful, noisy and full of life, and the food is great! The family who were my hosts last time are so kind and generous and this time are far more than just a 'host family', they are my dear friends. I look forward to my next visit!

The time I spent at the Excellence Center in Hebron was a fantastic opportunity to learn some Arabic and to find out more about Palestine. I was so warmly welcomed and supported by all the staff and by my host family. I made some wonderful friends and would love to go back some time soon

My experience at the Excellence Center was good, I encountered no problems regarding my safety and the staff was helpful in any situation where I required help. I had very few difficulties and any difficulties I faced were independant of the program. I would recommend volunteering at the Excellence Center to anybody who is interested in learning about the culture, education, and daily life in Palestine.

Excellence center is a school located in one of the most important street in Hebron. It is a school in wich you immediately feel the professionality of the staff: coordinators and teachers. The school strives to improve its standars, indeed they are always more than happy to receive feedbacks. I personally studied dialet and standard arabic, focusing more on the former. I really recommend this school to any newcomer and I am sure that you will enjoy the company and the kindness of these fantastic people like my teacher Dua'a, Marwa , Osama, Alaa and the two Ibrahim etc. etc.

I am very glad to learn the Arabic language even if I can learn the basic words. In this way I hope to have the opportunity to deal in a better way with the local Population. I have found a very professional teacche, very patient and also the director, She is very nice and always available. After different lessons I can say to know some Arabic words and I can understand some phrases, even if simple. I woul like to learn in the future also to read the Arabic language but now, unfortunately I have to go back to Italy.

Highligts - the teachers are very good and well prepared, the atmosphere is excelent, staff is wonderfull. You allways get help if you need. I liked the speaking excercises, talking about differences between palestine and our home countries, listening to films and news. overall very happy with the program.

Difficulties - getting enough time to study and prepare, sometimes the work at TIPH takes a lot of time and little time left to study. The working hours in TIPH are sometimes difficult to manage togeteher with the hours at Excelence. the logistics is the biggest challenge as well as having enough hours to study.

I have enjoyed four months of studies at Excellence centre that I have really enjoyed and profited from. The teachers are very devoted and respond qickly to the wishes of the students. I plan on continue my studies with Excellence centre and believe that I will have the chance to develop my studies evven more.

My name is Maryam Allan i'm from America. I am 16 years old. I came to live in Palestine. I came to the excellence center to learn Arabic.Here at the excellence center I learned the alphabet and the converstations of everyday life. My experience at the excellence center was great. The staff and teachers treat you like family. They teach the languages so you can undestand and they have a positive atmostphere.
