Outstanding information, clear delivery, very passionate teachers.
The overall stay was nice. Beautiful wooden cabins where to sleep, amazing views...
The Centre is close to the river and next to a forest with many ancient native trees.
I have loved very much the visits to the local woods and the time spent in the library.
They have an etnobotanical garden and some classes are interactive and very visual.
It has been easy to memorize information due to the clarity of explanations and the direct experience with plants.
My favourite time? Myths, legends and history of psychotropic plants. I also enjoyed the seminars on pharmacology and bioactivity of certain plants.
So many emotions and insights!

I am very excited to review the Internship in Herbal Medicine, as it has been a special moment of growth for me, both personally and academically.
The teachers are extremely professional, bright and helpful. I have been inspired by their work and ideas. Alquimia is the perfect hub for learning and development. It is a quiet, spiritual place sorrounded by nature and wonderful gardens.
The whole practice gave me a variety of tools and techniques to work with.
My favourite part is the laboratory work, soapmaking and cacao processing. I particularly enjoyed the morning meditation and the forest trips in the afternoon, to be able to forage plants, collect and process them the same day..beautiful.
I appreciate the ability of the teachers to hold such a diverse knowledge on ancestral and natural medicine..biology, physiology, chemistry, antrophology, cosmology and so on.
I said, this the most complete course I have found until now. Intensive, fullfilling.

This is a deep introduction to the world of shamanism and plants. I reccommend it for many reasons, there is no barrer in between the medicine man and the patient, here you understand the importance of self-healing in a respectful, joyous environment.
The teachings come in many forms, verbally, practically and in a more subtle way. Working with locals has been fantastic.
I recognize the spiritual growth and the great transormation I undergo.
I spent 2 weeks in a forest retreat dieting with plants to understand their medicinal value and wisdom. Unique opportunity. Very thankful.

I enrolled the course 3 months ago and I think it's one of the best move in my life. After travelling around I had the feeling to be lost and restless. Alquimia has been my home, my shelter, my school and my space for finding again harmony and balance. It's not just a course, it's an inspiration.
Through the ancient Maya wisdom I learnt how to approach plants from a different point of view and now I want to apply this new relationship on my self-healing.
I spent days in the forest collecting plants with locals and I send all my appreciation to my teacher/guide/shaman.
