Amazing experience! GIVE does a great job allowing its volunteers to immerse themselves in the community they work in and by doing so you are able to learn and appreciate the Nepali culture in a way you cant experience any other way.

For you adventure lovers and thrill seekers, GIVE also takes you along on these spectacular and exciting excursions which included a safari trek through the beautiful Chittwan, home to some of the world's most exotic animals, white water rafting through gorgeous landscapes and of course the constant breathtaking trek up to EBC.

Both the locals and the volunteers forever have a place in my heart. This is truly a life changing trip and one that brings good to individuals around the world along the way. Highly recommend!

This trip was hands-down the best thing I ever did. It taught me so much about myself, and about the impact we as humans have on the world. Not only did I feel safe 100% of the time, but the staff made you feel like family. They take care of you and make sure you feel welcomed at all times. It was a complete cultural immersion without the anxiety of being in a new environment. It was a truly authentic experience and gave me some of my favorite moments in my life thus far. These people and this place taught me the most valuable lessons I've ever learned. If you're on the fence about the program, stop holding yourself back. Where do I even begin? GIVE Volunteers' program in Tanzania is unmatched. I honestly cannot recommend it enough. You enter the village of Kairo a stranger, but leave feeling like a true member of the community. From teaching English to the locals, to mixing cement in the heat with your new best friends, to jumping in the Indian Ocean to swim with dolphins, this program truly has it all. The staff, locals, and your fellow volunteers are so full of life, and truly love what they are doing which makes the trip that much more enjoyable. The impact that this trip will have on you will last a lifetime. The volunteer excursion with GIVE was unique from any volunteer trip I had ever been on. Our GIVE tour guides, Hayley and Tyler, were very knowledgeable and familiar with the community's we were serving which provided us with a unique experience. We were able to immerse ourselves in the Thai culture and work together with other community members to develop plans of action and work as a team to accomplish community goals. One of my favorite things about the trip was learning firsthand from the villagers what they felt they needed and then working alongside them to help bring positive change to their villages. Everything we did was not only a learning experience but a great time! This trip was full of activities as well as volunteer experiences. We went cave exploring, bungee jumping, spent time with the elephants, and explored the temples. I made lifelong friends and would reccomend this trip to anyone!

My GIVE trip opened my eyes in ways I never could have expected. Getting to work alongside locals in a community across the world showed me the power of human connection despite the cultural barriers between us. The work that GIVE does is sustainable and ethical. I felt good about the impact that we had in the communities we worked with. GIVE also allowed me to explore and adventure in the incredible beauty of Thailand while always feeling 100% safe. Getting to hike through the jungle to find elephants was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. The guides that GIVE employs are knowledgeable, responsible, and inspiring people. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to step outside their comfort zone and experience all that the world has to offer.

Not only was this trip an adventure and a way to see the world, it truly changed my life. Seeing Thai lifestyle and being able to help people in need is something I will never forget. It changes your way of thinking in the states, makes you realize how much life has to offer, and pushes you out of your comfort zone in a way that isn’t available otherwise. This trip had the best counselors, the most awesome people from around the world that you’ll have a lifelong connection with, and will show you what is truly important in your life going forward. Over there, it feels like anything is possible! The cultural difference you will experience in Chang Mai is very different from what you will see in the mountains. Children are very shy but playful, and seeing and working with kids in the schools is the best part of everyday. They are so grateful and fun to work with. You’ll learn how to build rafts from bamboo and float down the river to other locations, it’s so peaceful and exciting and being surrounded by people sharing this new experience will be one of the best things you do.

GIVE Volunteers changed my life. It’s hard to believe my trip was almost three years ago, because I genuinely think about it every single day. The way I think about the world hasn’t been the same ever since I went to Thailand. GIVE is more than just a volunteer trip, it’s a way to understand the world a little bit more, to cross paths with people from all different walks of life, and to learn and experience things you might not have the chance to otherwise. Who else can say they helped build a bamboo raft and then used it for 3 days straight? Pretty badass if you ask me. But really, if you’re thinking about going on this trip stop thinking and just do it! You won’t regret it, I think every single one of us will back that statement up.

GIVE is one of the best orgs I have had the privilege of stumbling on. My first trip with them was to Tanzania and Zanzibar Island. Being my first time ever out of the states I was so nervous about who I would meet and how the 2 weeks was going to go! Let me tell you what though, once I set foot in Tanzania the beautiful souls of GIVE guides immidelty made me feel so comfortable and just they gave off good vibes. The entire two weeks I made the best of friends and worked among some of the amazing locals who I miss everyday. Working and living with the other volunteers was great. And I am grateful for the experience that GIVE gave me. Not only are you making an impact on the community, they impact you and will change you forever... it is beyond worth it to go on a GIVE trip. 100/10 RECCOMEND!!!!!! DO IT!!!

I went to Nepal in May of 2018. I have traveled with GIVE before to Tanzania and had already known the type of trip I was getting myself into. Although this trip impacted me more than my travels to Africa had in the previous years. This was the first summer GIVE had taken on rebuilding the community in Gorkha, Nepal. This small community had faced serious damages from the 2015 earthquake and still was having issues recovering. As a volunteer we spent our mornings mixing cement, laying bricks and trying to learn as much Nepalese as we could so that we could speak to natives. When you are volunteering with GIVE, you work alongside the locals everyday. You get to see first hand how these people are effected by the work you are doing. When you see the smiles after a long day of work, or once a roof can be put onto a house, you stop and really thing about the blessing in your life. The people in Gorkha gave a great lesson on how to be humble, and give even when you have nothing to give. Everyday the villagers would cook us lunch and you could just see appreciative they were when they handed you that plate of rice and lentils. They never stopped thanking you and asking you take second! Along with the volunteering you also get to embark on some once in a lifetime adventure activities, such as a safari, white water rafting, playing soccer with locals, exploring ancient cities and so much more. This trip will open your eyes to so much beauty and love that Nepal has to offer. I would encourage anyone to take the plunge and embark on this journey.

GIVE is a cultural, environmental, educational, social and adventurous experience all in one. All of the guides were extremely helpful in encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace the culture you are experiencing all around you. The trip was all-inclusive from the moment you arrive in Tanzania and after spending 4 weeks (two volunteering, two climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro) I can definitely say that every dollar was worth it and there's no way you could do all that we did for any less. Plus, while traveling with GIVE, they ensure to educate you on exactly where your money is going and how helping with this projects is helping the community for a life time. There was never a time that I felt unsafe, we we're treated like family by all of the locals and staff; I would recommend traveling with GIVE anywhere if you are looking to travel with a purpose, step outside of your comfort zone, and live in the moment. I have made friends and memories that will last a life time.
