Tropical and Marine Ecology: $3800 for two weeks.
Wildlife veterinary medicine in conservation: $4300 for two weeks.

Included in the course fee is the accommodations with WiFi, all meals on site: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (extra meals/snacks/drinks bought by students are not included), laboratory/practical activities, facility fees, excursions, field trips, entrance fees, field supplies, daily transportation, airport transfers. The cost is all-inclusive except for airfare, medical insurance, passport, snacks, and any COVID vaccinations or testing required.

About Program

Solo Mundo Abroad is study abroad provider with university and conservation organization partners. Our courses are for highschool, college and university students interested in the fields of biology, ecology, zoology, marine science and veterinary medicine.

We provide a unique experience for students who want to dive into the wildlife and have a glimpse of the day to day that waits for them in their professional lives.

Our organization offers exciting educational hands-on experiences of a lifetime to students and individuals who want to study abroad and travel to Costa Rica.

Students will be able to experience Costa Rica’s wildlife in the pacific coast and have a glimpse of the day to day that awaits in their professional life.

We offer 2 short-term experiences:

1. Tropical and Marine Ecology.

2. Wildlife Veterinary Medicine In Conservation.

Both programs include hands-on experience guided by experts, accomodation, meals, local transportation and recreation

Program Highlights

  • Contribute to conservation efforts by developing solutions, critical thinking and applying the knowledge learned from the conservation issues affecting the world and Costa Rica specifically.
  • Learn how to provide the care needed in husbandry, nutrition and behavioral needs based on the species specific ecology and biology, and about treating, rehabilitating, and evaluating their welfare.
  • Be hands-on with wildlife such as sea turtles, squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, sloths, coatis, kinkajous, parrots, toucans, parrots, macaws and curassows.
  • Work with professionals in wildlife rehabilitation of rescued terrestrial and marine wildlife, actively be involved in the daily management of wildlife in a wildlife sanctuary, wildlife rescue center.
