About Program
Travel to Ecuador with EPI and let the Galapagos archipelago become your living laboratory! The highlands and coasts are a naturalist's dream, with unique species behind every rocky outcrop. However, due to a burgeoning human population and high demands from tourism, these islands face serious challenges. Through EPI's partnership with Ecuadorian nonprofit ECOS, you'll work to help protect this fragile ecosystem - by monitoring giant tortoises in the highlands, removing invasive species that threaten their food supply, and learning about the biogeography of this incredible place. This 12-day program will give you a behind-the-scenes look at daily life and nature in a far-flung Eden.
