About Program

The Center for Applied Policy Research, Institute of Near and Middle Eastern Studies, and the Middle East and International Affairs Research Group join forces for the Munich-Berlin Middle East Summer School.

The Middle East is one of the most exciting as well as most critical world regions in terms of global politics, world economics and social and cultural affairs. In this respect, the 2020 Munich-Berlin Middle East Summer School aims at providing students with a broad understanding of the key developments in the contemporary Middle East and its interactions with international stakeholders. Students will be taught by academics and practitioners with long-standing experience in the Middle East in an interactive way. Participants will become experts on the Middle East, receive 6 ECTS credits for their performance and visit public and private institutions and cultural sites in Berlin and Munich.
