Toucan Abroad’s Physical Therapy Shadowing Program in Athens gives pre-PT students the opportunity to earn 40–60 verified observation hours while experiencing physical therapy in an international setting. During the 2- or 3-week program, students shadow licensed physical therapists for approximately five hours per day, Monday through Thursday, and typically rotate through 2–3 clinics to observe different specialties and approaches to patient care. Outside the clinic, students experience Athens through organized cultural activities, group meals, planned weekend travel, and centrally located group housing. On-site program directors support students throughout the experience, and all observation hours are documented and signed for PTCAS applications.
