About Program
Several summer courses are being run under the "Bridging ICTs and Environment" framework at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. These courses are aimed at bridging the gap between public policy and environmental decision-makers and the information and communication technology (ICT) community by showing that these technologies are relevant, accessible, and easy to use and have a great potential to better shape management strategies and make more informed decisions. The courses cover a number of environmental themes, e.g. Water Management and Security; Disaster Risk Reduction / Disaster Management.
There are two courses being run under this framework in 2015:
1) ICTs for Water Security, 6-10 July 2015, at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, in cooperation with UN Office for Outer Space Affairs
2) Innovations in Disaster Risk Management, 13-17 July 2015, at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, in cooperation with UN Development Programme.
