Scotland's oldest and most international university
As Scotland’s oldest university, established in the early part of the fifteenth century, St. Andrews boasts a proud heritage of excellence, demonstrated by its motto, “Ever to Excel;” its prestige as the most international of Scotland’s universities (with applicants from 169 countries); its reputation for exemplary teaching and research; its high post-graduation employment rate; and its continually positive level of student retention and satisfaction.
