About Program

The Careyes Foundation is seeking motivated volunteers to serve as English teachers in rural primary schools. We are partnered with ten schools in the beautiful Costalegre region, located along the Pacific coast of Jalisco, Mexico. Our English teaching program reaches over 1,000 2nd-6th grade students, using an new methodology and curriculum specifically developed to meet the needs of the rural population that we serve.

If you are interested in teaching and learning from children, helping develop an innovative learning process, and making an impact in rural communities, we want to hear from you! Depending on individual interest, there may be additional opportunities for volunteers to participate in our other existing programs, help develop and coordinate new programs, and/or support various administrative aspects of our non-profit organization.
