The 5-Day Program met my expectations. It was a lot of information in a short time, but the information was necessary to be able to teach in a classroom.

YES. I feel prepared to teach after having taken this course. Having zero classroom experience (I taught solely online). Being able to teach classes and have teachers give me feedback each day built my knowledge and confidence. That is shown through my feedback reports.

The out-of-class assignments supported the basics of teaching (skills and grammar), but the hands-on part, along with the feedback, supported the classroom management.

Talking to my advisor and watching classes being taught helped me understand how to run a classroom.

The practical training met my expectations. This was the most helpful part to me. Actually, being in a classroom and getting the feedback from those who have been doing this for years gave me insight to different ways I can teach.

My trainer was amazing. She was able to answer every question I had, and if she was unsure would get back to me within minutes of the correct answer. She was always available and never left us on “read”. She was always on time and kept us on time as well.

The motivating factor in deciding to take the ITTO 5-day Program was that I had never been in front of a classroom to teach. I didn’t have high confidence to perform at the level needed.
