About Program

Do you want to do something exciting and rewarding before you brave the trials of the UK job market?

TeachVietnam is a British company based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The core of our business is one-on-one academic tutoring and we’re hiring high-quality Graduates from top UK universities to meet the ever growing demand for the personalized support that some students - across primary and secondary levels - need. As you build meaningful relationships with children who are eager to learn and help them overcome academic difficulties, you’ll find working as a Tutor incredibly rewarding. While a TEFL qualification and/or past teaching experience is an advantage, it is not necessary: all of our Tutors have access to extensive training from experienced teachers.

We also work with local language schools and both national and international NGOs, so you’ll have the opportunity to learn to teach in a range of settings and give back to the community.

An excellent opportunity for graduates looking for rewarding work outside the UK!

I've been working as a Tutor for Teach Vietnam since September 2016, and so far have absolutely no regrets about applying!

First of all, the job itself has been incredibly interesting and rewarding. One-on-one tutoring is not always easy and there is a lot of preparation and planning involved, but with the constant support and professional training offered by the company. you never feel overwhelmed and there's always someone to turn to. This means you really do get to enjoy and make the most out of your work. The amount of responsibility I was given within the company from day one was also quite surprising, and the position has been an excellent and challenging learning opportunity, which is great for a recent graduate with limited past experience. Although quite small at the moment, the team at Teach Vietnam are dedicated, helpful and extremely friendly - from meeting you at the airport to answering the millions of questions you might have about life in the city, they go above and beyond to make sure you're doing OK.

Then there are all the benefits attached the position! Not only a generous living allowance, but also free accommodation, health insurance, local guided tours and reimbursed flights. Teach Vietnam really does offer the full package, giving you the best opportunity to not only enjoy the work you're doing but also explore an amazing part of the world.

I would therefore highly recommend any graduates looking for an exciting and rewarding international experience to apply to come and join the team as soon as they can!

What an experience!

I started working at TeachVietnam in September 2016 and, thus far, only have overwhelmingly positive things to say about the company. The salary is generous, perks are great (free accommodation, flights, health insurance and guided tours of remote areas of Vietnam!) and I've been given an awful lot of professional training. This isn't your normal TEFL job - the work is harder and, since it's mainly one-on-one tutoring, you've got to prepare in depth, with a lot of care to make sure that your tailoring your lessons to the needs of your students. But the management is incredibly supportive, it's a fun place to work and an awesome launchpad to explore Ho Chi Minh City.

Can't recommend highly enough!

What would you improve about this program?
Given that it's a program aimed at recent University graduates, it couldn't be improved in a reasonable way. Everyone would like 10 hour working weeks and 6 figure salaries, but, realistically, I wouldn't change much at all.
