Amazing time on British Defender

I spent 2 days and 2 nights on board British Defender and would highly recommend to anyone travelling the east coast of Australia! The boat was big and spacious and squeaky clean inside! The Whitsundays were awesome, and in particular Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet - just amazing to see in person - nothing can prepare you for the scale and beauty!
Activities wise: the snorkelling was great, so much fish life everywhere! I'd never sailed a boat this big before this trip, and it was a little nerve-wrecking at first, but in a fun way! Like going on a roller coaster for the first time and then you want to again and again!! I can't speak highly enough of the crew on board who took so much care to make sure we had a good time, made sure we felt safe and cooked our food for us! The food was delicious and there was so much to go round! I made a friends and memories I will cherish for life!

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Hill Inlet Lookout - it was so amazing in person! So much better than the photos!

Highlight of my aussie tour

We just got back from a 2 day tour and we really had to leave a review as we had an awesome time with our tour. This has been my best part of our east coast tour of Australia with 5 weeks of travelling here. We have done a lot of tours on our trip and we have been lucky to see a lot of beautiful places while driving our campervan all over the place. I never thought sailing would be so much fun and that we would see so much. There was heaps of food and snacks, snorkelling was easy and the whitsunday beach lookout was amazing!!! The crew know how to look after people and will let you take the big wheel and sail the boat (ours was the red one, Sisska I think). This trip is fun and I would one day come back and do more sailing, hopefully with the same crew.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Aussie vegemite which we had on toast for breakfast.

Amazing trip!

Siska cruise was one of the best trips I have ever done! I travel solo and I had no problem making new friends.
We discovered the beautiful Whitehaven beach with a stunning viewpoint and went snorkelling. The crew was very professional and told me a few tips as it was my first time snorkelling.
It was my first time on a sailing boat and i loved it!

The company helped me with my luggage for a small fee as we can take onboard only a small soft bag. The ladies in the office were very helpful and explained what to take with me.

Siska boat was very comfortable and the bunk beds were not a problem, as I am travelling alone. (I would recommend packing light as you don't have much storage.)

I really recommend this trip to anyone travelling in the Whitsundays, you will be looked after and have so much fun!

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Beautiful marine life during snorkelling. It was my first time and I saw little Nemo and turtles!

Sun, wind and friends

I booked on Siska after a recommendation over a few beers in the hostel. The trip was great. The crew were fun and informative, they let us get involved when we wanted too and relax when we wanted. We went snorkelling (my first time), the beach, sailing, for a bushwalk to the lookout and relaxed in the sun.
The Whitsundays are amazing, especially Whitehaven Beach and the view from the lookout. The 2-day 1-night trip was the first time I had slept under the stars and on the water. It was a lot easier than I had imagined. Perhaps I should have booked for a second night!
The food was great, plenty of it and fresh and we had a bit of a party overnight. Meeting people from all around the world helped me plan other parts of my trip. I encourage you to go sailing when you plan a trip to the Whitsundays.

What would you improve about this program?
I would have liked more time at the beach, but you can't have everything.
