Such a nice experience !

I've had interest for the Transcaucasian Trail for a couple of years, which brought me to read about the international volunteer camps...

In Fall 2025 I finally had the chance to take part in a 7-day camp in Lori North of Dilijan. The experience exceeded my expectations : we were really well taken cared of by the local crew, the work is well organized and balanced with leisured time and other activities and also some down time.

Above all, we had a lot of fun and lots of laughter all together, while we did a fair deal of work on the trail maintenance ! It is a great way to meet Armenian people and get to know better different aspects of the local culture.

I can only recommend these camps to anyone looking for outdoor collective experiences to remember and meeting great people. I'll definitely return to repeat the experience in other regions and also take some more time to hike on the TCT !

Great trailbuilding experience in the Caucasus Region

I volunteered with TFC in Armenia in 2025. It was an absolute fantastic experience. The trailbuilding was interesting and fun. The feeling of community with the Armenian participiants was even better. Wonderful authentic human beings, hard working and still having so much fun together. I can totally recommend!

The program covers transportation, accomodation, food and everything that is important. We even had a cultural day in Dilijan where we learned to dance and got to know the place better.

Adventure of a lifetime!

Trails for change is a fabulous organization to volunteer for. They always took care of me and welcomed me into their tight knit community. Traveling to different regions of Armenia weekly to do work on the most scenic trails in the country was incredible. The culture, language and food of Armenia is wonderful to experience, and tfc made it all possible. I recommend this highly as a volunteering opportunity. Armenia is a beautiful country with a warm hospitable culture, and a fascinatingly ancient history.

Building Friendships and Trails in Dilijan

I had an amazing experience volunteering in Dilijan this summer. Together with locals and international volunteers, we built a trail from Gosh to Hovq. During this time, we became close friends, shared countless fun stories, sang and danced together, and learned from one another. The experience was full of teamwork, trust, and memorable moments that I will always cherish. I also experienced sleeping in tents surrounded by nature, completely offline without internet, which was the perfect way to disconnect from the world and appreciate the simple beauty of life. Living and working closely with others in such a peaceful environment taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of collaboration, making this truly a life-changing summer.

Amazing

I had an amazing experience being part of the Trail Building Campaign in Armenia with TFC. This project created unforgettable memories and showed how meaningful teamwork can be. The work we did was not only fun but also truly impactful , helping nature, improving local tourism, and supporting an important cause.

I’m grateful to everyone involved for the chance to contribute to something so useful for Armenia’s environment and future visitors. It was a beautiful mix of learning, helping, and enjoying the outdoors. I highly recommend joining this campaign if you want to make a real difference and be part of something special.

Meaningful, hands-on, joyful experience

I participated in this program as a solo international volunteer in July 2025. Most of my favorite moments include bonding with the other local and international volunteers on the trail or around the campfire. After spending a week together in beautiful surroundings, you really form a strong sense of community. It was also incredibly gratifying to watch trekkers enjoy sections of the trail we had just developed or cleared. It was the perfect blend of fun, work, and impact. I truly made memories that will last a lifetime.
