About Program

RAs' main responsibility is to assist the team leader in the data collection of sea turtles during the night patrols and surveys and also help training volunteers and guards.RA will be directly involved in small scientific projects (develop and test methodologies, data collection training and supervision, data entry and analysis, preparation of report and article, etc.).

Requirements: Previous experience working with sea turtles is mandatory for RA position. RA should be familiar with nest/track identification and be able to follow protocols attentively; preferably experienced on sea turtles handling and tagging, tissue sampling and nest excavations.Knowledge of Portuguese/Spanish/Criolo is required.

Benefits/Costs-RAs are required to contribute towards their participation costs with 250Euros/4 weeks.

The fee covers: stay in a local family house, 3 meals, water, transportation and tshirt. RAs have to finance their travel and health insurance.
