About Program
Our two main projects in China are the 'Dare to Dream' and 'Green Power Now' projects.
The main activity of Dare to Dream is to organise and run a children's camp in remote areas of China. The aim of this project is to open the children to the wider world, develop their perspective as well as allowing them to have a fun and educational school holidays period.
The Green Power Now project addresses environmental issues through educating students of various ages about environmental protection. Volunteers will be raising awareness of environmental issues through organising classes, competitions and organising activities for students to get involved in the community to take action against pollution. Volunteers will also get an opportunity to work with NGOs supporting this project.
Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger.
