Dog Rehabilitation Program in Costa Rica

I'm a dog lover, and to work at Animales de Asís you have to be. There are blind dogs, abused dogs and really energetic dogs, and all day working with the barking and the smells there can certainly take a toll. However, it is an incredible feeling when, after spending so much time sitting there with your hand out, the timid dog finally comes over to you and you can pet it. The animals' histories are heartbreaking, and if you can handle the dirtiness and the smells it's definitely worth it.
