About Program
Imagine a pristine beach where you are working to save an endangered species. If this thought captivates you, volunteer in the Turtle Conservation Project at Costa Rica and work to conserve sea turtles.
The sea turtle population has declined significantly in the past decades due to considerable increase in poaching and the threat of beach erosion. According to scientists the sea turtles can become extinct if corrective measures are not taken immediately. Volunteers in this project will learn about conservation efforts directly from the project staff and will immediately become involved. Your activities include protecting turtle eggs, ensuring a healthy environment for the eggs that are about to hatch and educating locals on turtle conservation.
Volunteer in the project to play an active role in ensuring the turtle population survives. The experience will be a heartwarming one as you get to turtle hatched from the eggs you saved returning to sea and form a thriving community.
