About Program
Global Greentalist is an international youth volunteer program that combines online learning with hands-on action in Costa Rica.
The journey begins with four virtual preparation sessions focused on leadership, sustainability, and environmental education, equipping participants before they travel.
Volunteers then spend five weeks in Costa Rica taking part in community-based projects, environmental conservation initiatives, and an experiential trekking phase.
The program offers young people a meaningful way to learn, volunteer, and grow while working alongside rural and Indigenous communities.

Program Impact
Global Greentalist works in collaboration with rural and Indigenous communities and conservation partners that identify real, on-the-ground needs.
Volunteers contribute time, skills, and energy to ongoing environmental education, conservation, and community initiatives that benefit local projects and long-term goals.
By supporting locally led efforts, the program strengthens community capacity while offering young people the opportunity to learn, grow, and apply practical skills in real contexts.
This exchange creates mutual learning, shared responsibility, and meaningful support where it is truly needed.
