About Program
Volunteers will become part of a multidisciplinary team for the conservation of marine turtles as for the threatend coastal rainforests through ecological design and regenerative agriculture (permaculture). Participants on this program will learn practical field work for the conservation of sea turtles. We will be working on the regeneration of degraded ecosystems. An important amount of fieldwork will take place in nesting beaches of the marine reserve, in agroforestry systems or in the forests surrounding them, which are the last remnants of this ecosystem in coastal Ecuador. Reforestation with native species will be priority.
Volunteers can travell the surrounding communities for cultural exchange, enjoy incredible food and visit different beautiful beaches. Most volunteers use some of their free time to learn surfing in the surrounding beaches to the project site.
This is a unique jungle experience in real conservation projects with lots of contact with Nature.
