About Program
This program will let you experience the amazing marine life including Manta Rays and Giant Clams in Fiji's Yasawa Islands. Play a part in protecting Fiji’s stunning natural marine environment for future generations and travelers to enjoy. Not only will you complete hands on work to help research and conserve the environment, but you will assist in passing on skills to the local villagers who are the day to day guardians of this beautiful marine environment. You will be involved in projects such as Manta Ray Research, Habitat Mapping or Crown of Thorn Seastar Watch. Needless to say that scuba diving and snorkeling will be part of your daily work hence why you will be to be qualified to at least Open Water Level. Non-divers can join the program following completion of a diver training program (approx. 5 days) in Fiji that will certify you up to an Open Water Level. Participants will stay in the remote Yasawa Island group and will enjoy the stunning surroundings during the weekend.
