Literacy Volunteers:
Description: Volunteer Literacy Tutors help children with reading difficulties with their literacy, one-to-one or small group in primary schools or after schools as well as Saturdays. You help up to 3 children with phonics and spelling activities and games, making learning fun. You will also read with children to help them with their comprehension and vocabulary.
We give you training and support to build your confidence and skills and introduce you to a community of people committed to ensuring all children reach their potential.
Requirements: Interest in reading with children; good at phonics, a flexible approach to work; good organizational and self-management skills, the ability to work as part of a team, but also on your own initiative; Exhibit patience and positive attitudes in establishing an encouraging learning environment.
Time Duration: 4 weeks minimum
