About Program

If you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding experience, volunteering at an orphanage in Ghana might be perfect for you! You’ll get to care for children who have been abandoned, with disability or lost their parents to HIV/AIDS, which can be tough sometimes, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling. The most important thing you can bring is a big heart and a smile! These kids need someone who cares about them and who wants to make a positive impact on their lives.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
