About Program
The Sunshine Volunteers Organization is excited to offer students and industry practitioners and artists of Creative Arts to learn from, share with, create and work with artists at the Kumasi Centre for National Culture.The Kumasi Centre for National Culture is located in Ghana’s Ashanti Region and was established in 1956. It is the cultural and artistic hub for the Ashanti Region and is renowned nationally.
Creative Arts volunteers will work closely with on-site artisans and practitioners at the Kumasi Centre for National Culture in areas of creative arts including, but not limited to:
-Traditional Weaving
-Spoken Literature
-Painting
-Sculpting
-Metal Casting
-Pottery
-Performing Arts
Creative Arts volunteers will work in assigned areas at the centre to work creatively with local artists as well as having the opportunity to run creative arts outreach classes/workshops in local schools.
