About Program

Join Ghana Health and Education Initiative (GHEI) in rural Humjibre, Ghana, for a transformative 2-week volunteer experience. Our Summer Serve & Learn (SSL) programs combine meaningful community service with cultural exchange, giving you the chance to connect, empower, and grow alongside local staff and families.

Each session has a unique focus:

📚 Transform a Library (June 24 – July 8, 2026)
Redesign our community library and lead literacy games with children.

🧒 Child Development Evaluation (July 10 – 24, 2026)
Support data collection and evaluation of our early childhood development program.

👧 Girls’ Leadership Camp (July 26 – Aug 9, 2026)
Mentor girls through confidence-building workshops and cultural exchange.

🫀 How My Body Works Camp (Aug 11 – 25, 2026)
Teach basic anatomy through fun, hands-on activities for junior high students.

You’ll be fully immersed in rural Ghanaian life while contributing to sustainable, community-led projects.
