About Program

Severely Affected the Intellectually Disabled and Cerebral Palsy children. The details of the project beneficiaries are as follow...

Target beneficiaries:
The target beneficiaries of our proposed Education on Wheels are the Intellectually Disabled (ID) children and their parents/guardians who are living in remote villages in the Dindigul District Tamilnadu. This segment is at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP).

Direct Beneficiaries:
✔ Intellectually Disabled (ID) and their parents

Indirect Beneficiaries
✔ The volunteers.
✔ Future adults who are all going to enter married life – 100.
✔ Teachers who are all working in the target villages.
✔ Parents and guardians.

Intervention
It is the project part of a larger intervention for the same beneficiaries but in a new location and extended to disabled people living in hill areas of Dindigul District and those who are lacking access to education and healthcare. The project covers hilly places and rural villages.

Program Impact

Availability of Education, Health care, and other Social Service needs at doorsteps.
▪ HBT will reduce the need for Special education in the future and prevent further
impairments.
▪ HBT occurs in the home environment.
▪ Parents will receive a short break during visits and have good hope.
▪ Convergence with government and insurance schemes at an early stage.
▪ HBT is more cost-effective and less expensive.
▪ Reaching the unreached.
▪ Bridging the needy with the available resources like NIRAMAYA, CMCHIS, etc
▪ Improved basic Life Skills of the Special children.
▪ Reducing the burden on the parents.
▪ Mainstreaming the special children.
