About Program
SMART NAKURU is a community based organization working with women and adolescent girls in Mautuma-Lugari-Kakamega county -Kenya. The organization has been transformation lives through Vocational skills training to enable these Women and girls have a decent lives in future.
Last year 2017, Smart Nakuru with the support from local community was able to construct a specious workshop that can a accommodate 40 women sitting behind their sewing machines and ready for the training.

Program Impact
The training will run for four {4} months for the first batch of 60 women, then second batch of 50 and third batch of 40 totally to 150 trainees in a year. Smart Nakuru will develop training syllabus and provide the trainees with consumable training materials like fabrics. More than 2000 community members in Mautuma Village will benefit from the project, currently they travel far to buy school uniforms for their children. The project will enable the women give back to their communities and help other women out of the cycle of poverty
