SMART NAKURU collaborates with its immediate society to identify and deal with emerging social problems. Empowering young mothers to be economically self-sustaining, and also equip adolescent girls with sewing skills.
Reasons for the Empowerment of Women
In Kenya, most rural women are discriminated and marginalized at every level of the society, whether it is social participation, political participation, economic participation, access to education and also reproductive healthcare. The organization is located in Mautuma- Lugari. Without any monetary support. Therefore, in order to set up in sustainable way, in May 2018 with the support from local community in Mautuma-Lugari we constructed a specious classroom where these women come, share their challenges while gaining sewing skills
