About Program
International volunteers have 3 different programs at their disposal in Vang Vieng, Laos:
Teaching program: volunteers teach English to kids, but it goes hand in hand with other daily chores such as IT accounting, construction, weeding, planting, harvesting and watering.
Employment creation program: volunteers will help people from a village nearby to boost their income, producing and selling natural or manufactured products. Training in accounting, marketing or business management are also provided. A minimum of 6 weeks is required.
The Organic Farm program: volunteers have to take care of the farm, with "eco" actions, but can also participate in the construction of new housing, planting, watering, weeding, and/or teaching.
Vang Vieng is located about 4 hours drive from Vientiane, Laos' capital. The prices depend on the type of accommodation that the volunteers choose: dormitory, private room or double private room.

Laos is typically not regarded as touristy, especially in comparison to its highly touristy neighboring countries of Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia; however, this is slowly changing as people now associate Laos with a laid back style of living.
