About Program

Join this incredible wildlife project in beautiful Laos and help build a future for animals rescued from illegal wildlife trading.

The Laos Wildlife Sanctuary, set in the beautiful tropics, is home to many rescued animals from the illegal wildlife trade. Sadly, Laos has become a major gateway for illegal wildlife trading in South-East Asia and after the increasing need for intervention, Laos zoo in partnership with the local government established the sanctuary in 2015.

As a volunteer on this project, you’ll help to contribute to the rescue and rehabilitation of many endangered and vulnerable animals. Helping to care for and release as many animals as possible as well as, providing the most natural lives for the animals that sadly cannot be released. You’ll help to change perceptions and attitudes towards the illegal wildlife trade and will leave a lasting impact on the animal resident at the sanctuary and Laos as a whole.

It looks like this program may not be available right now, but don’t worry, The Great Projects has plenty of other amazing programs to check out!
