Shark Research and Conservation Volunteer Program in Baja California Sur *NEW Program*
- Mexico
- La Paz
About Program
Our volunteer program is open to world citizens with a passion for sharks and the marine
environment. During the 2 week program, you will collect invaluable data for developing
effective management plans to protect shark populations in the Sea of Cortez. By joining
us as a volunteer you are contributing to our research and to the development of a
sustainable shark watching industry in the area.
Scuba diving in Cabo Pulmo National Park while surveying bull shark populations, snorkeling with silky sharks in Cabo San Lucas, and conducting photo ID surveys on whale shark populations in La Paz Bay are some of the activities our volunteers will perform during the 2 week volunteer program.
As a conservation volunteer we want you to spend your time learning and experiencing the magical Sea of Cortez; basic cleaning and cooking services will be provided. You are expected to sleep in a local house and you will receive three nutritious meals per day. Come join us in Baja California.
