About Program
Step into the field and experience wildlife veterinary medicine in Namibia in a way few students ever do. This 7-day **Vets for Wildlife Program** is built for adventurous veterinary students who want hands-on experience, real responsibility, and time working with iconic African wildlife. Guided by experienced Namibian vets and conservation professionals, you’ll be part of active wildlife projects where every day brings something new.
Days are spent assisting with animal health checks, observing wildlife immobilization, caring for injured or orphaned animals in rehabilitation, and helping collect data for ongoing research. You’ll learn about wildlife diseases, capture techniques, and conservation ethics through practical fieldwork and engaging talks — not textbooks. From working behind the scenes in sanctuaries to sunset game drives, this program combines skills-building, adventure, and real conservation impact in one unforgettable week.
