Helambu Project currently runs two educational volunteer programs in Nepal. One program is focused on spreading Healthcare awareness, educating students on nutritional development, and running first aid trainings at schools. The second program focuses on working with local teachers who are interested in developing their teaching skills further. Volunteers work with Nepalese teachers and develop strategies that best fit the format of local communities. Placements depend on volunteer background and skill level, contact a Helambu representative to learn more.
Helambu is constantly expanding volunteer programs, visit the Helambu website for the latest available programs, and ways you can get involved.
Our volunteers come with us to teach a variety of subjects in schools as either teachers or Education+ trainers. We place volunteers in homes in the community where they have a chance to live and learn about local culture and customs while serving in the communities.
