About Program
Help us to rebuild a house for the victims of April 2015 Nepal Earthquake!
The Earthquake was a devastating event at magnitude 7.8. It damaged and destroyed tens of thousands of houses. More so in the villages. This program’s objective is to bring volunteers who will provide sweat equity and financial support to reconstruct the houses of the poor victims who can’t build on their own.
In this 8-day long program, the participants will be taken to one of a few selected villages in Gorkha district (one of the most-affected areas) in central Nepal. There they will help the builders with simple tasks such as:
- Painting
- Digging
- Leveling
- Carrying sand and bricks
There are opportunities for hikes around the villages and interaction with the villagers.
