Volunteering at the Shree Damgade Higher Secondary School gives you the opportunity to try your hand at teaching in a very basic fashion. Here the education materials are limited so you will be really pushing yourself to create interesting lessons for the children. But the upside to this is that these children really want to learn and will work as hard as they can to achieve good grades. The school itself is a rural government one which means children attend for free so usually you will find students from the poorest backgrounds in the area. It caters for over 100 children ranging from the ages of 4 through to 16 and offers a basic education for all. And as an added bonus its actually set in one of the most beautiful areas of Nepal called the Kaski district.
