About Program

We provide a humanitarian, spiritual and adventurous experience. Volunteering in children home for a week ( morning and evening), afternoon- exploring cultural sights, hiking, visiting local market, culture exchange, learning to make handicraft like-hammock, bracelets, crystal necklace, bags and more.

Next week living in monastery, teaching monks English, Meditating with monks, learning about Buddhism, self realization and learning about life of monks and more. Last 3 days, visiting another city, hiking to peace pagoda, exploring caves, boating and paragliding.

We aim to provide you as much taste of Nepal as we can. During this time you will be helping children home, monks, helping on rural children for education and many social welfare works.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Volunteer and Travel

I had an amazing two weeks with this program in which I got to experience different aspects of Nepal. The children at Children Home were so lovely, and everyone there was so warm and caring. I really hoped I could spend more time with them. During the stay at the Monastery, I was lucky to attend their special Puja offerings; I really enjoyed meeting and talking with the monks and learning about their lives. I also got to visit different places in Kathmandu and Pokhara. I learned to eat with my hands, and had fun riding on the local microbus and on the motorbike. It was a really great experience to learn about Nepal while giving back to the community.
