About Program

In a Northern Nicaraguan city, Panorama has assembled a partnership with a local university and its medical staff and students, with local doctors, and with rural health clinics to offer to the Nicaraguan people a medical service project. Serving alongside doctors, nurses, other health professional and Nicaraguan medical students, you will serve at rural health and dental clinics, and at the central hospital (actual project placement subject to scheduling conflicts). You will have the opportunity to serve those who, in the absence of your project, would have medical care delayed or not provided. You will also participate in a project that brings much needed medical equipment and supplies to this region.

Wonderful experience

Norman and Katie were wonderful to work with. They helped create a program that allowed our student nurses to feel like nurses, especially through our work in the rural clinics. Our time in Nicaragua was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would highly encourage anyone contemplating a medical brigade to jump in a go with Panorama.

So good we're going back again!

The program provided the perfect balance of Nicaraguan Culture and Medical work.

Our cultural day was at the beginning of the week allowing us to ease into arriving in a new country before getting to work the next day.

Even before we reached Nicaragua Panorama's staff was very helpful in organizing the trip. And when we were in Nicaragua they were even more helpful.

We never felt abandoned and always had someone to turn to when we wanted/need any help.

What would you improve about this program?
Because we were a bit behind schedule we had to rush a bit through parts of the cultural day.
